It's amazing to me how some people are so quick to pass judgement!!! You automatically call INAPPROPRIATE names, and make speculations which are not true.
Even not knowing the parties involved, I can see that the story is one-sided. Why even print a story if the WHOLE story can not be investigated. Democrat Staff, you are just causing HARD HEADED people to make ludacris statements for things they know nothing about.
Please follow up on this story... So the WHOLE truth can be told.
I honestly am beginning to hate the comment portion of this website!

As far as the relavence to my "salary" comment.....
i wasn't the one who made the first comment. I also know for a fact that you are incorrect.... Starting teachers in the NASD do NOT make 40k! Again, I say... get your facts in order before you correct someone. I have no idea what teachers make other places. I do, however, know what they make here.
On the other hand, as far as teachers acting as "traffic police".... it's just part of the job.... and UNFORTUNATE part of the job.

Krogers.... Where exactly does your daughter teach??? Apparently not in the Natchez public school system. My friend has been teaching over 10 years and is just now making a LITTLE over 30,000. Every district is different. Get your facts straight before you start spouting. Again, I say it's amazing to me at how ludacris some people in this community are. I'm sure most of you haven't even set foot on the campus, much less take an active role in CHANGING the negative image the school has. If you are "SO CONCERNED" with why you see students smoking, driving recklessly, failing a test, etc. ; then why don't you give up some of your time that you use on the Natchez Democrat website CRITICIZING the school district, and volunteer and talk to some of these kids. The district has an "open door" policy.
On the other hand, I am glad that Mrs. Grafton is recovering well; and hope she is able to get back at work, CARING for her students soon.

WOW.... Seems to me that someone else needs to get a hobby.... Besides bashing NLT that is.... Exactly why do you hate it so much.... I mean disagreeing with/about Layne is one thing... but calling out an 8 year old??? COME ON!!! Pick any article written on NLT, and "whatthehell47" is bound to spread his/her negative attitude all over it. I sure hope that Colby or Colby's family didn't see this; because Sir/Ma'am you are crude and rude to be forcing your negatitvity on all of us! Congrats to Fauntleroy cast and crew!!! Hold your heads up and be proud of a successful show.
