I don't know who you are but you are full of the most BS I've seen in a while. You are completely wrong on about 90% of the material that you write. If I had a couple of days, I would correct all of the inaccuraties in your blogs. Please limit your blog ad nauseum. Let other people engage in insightfull dialogue. Socialism? Give me a break.

If everyone is so interested in getting money to fund advertising, why doesn't anyone check to see how much money the current restuarant and hotel taxes generate? Before you start implementing new taxes, let's take a look at how we spend the current taxes. The new hotel group has taken over the convention center. What are they doing and how much money are they spending to advertise Natchez?

The City of Natchez had plenty of money to advertise Natchez and the convention center through the prior hamburger tax. The money was supposed to be used strictly for advertising and promoting Natchez. When the intermodal center was built, some, if not most of these funds were diverted to pay the maintenance on the building. Now we're going to raise the hamburger tax again and let's see what happens to the money.

Why would the City enter into an agreement with a company to open a casino at Roth Hill knowing that the company didn't have any experience in gaming?
Did I miss something or is this the same tactic used by the City? Let 's just do something and see what happens.

The Natchez Democrat should institute an I.Q. test before allowing anyone to blog. This would eliminate about 90% of the blogging.

I use to watch Ron Serling on the Twilght Zone to get a good laugh at the paranormal but since the Democrat started this blog site, I don't have to watch it any more.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I don't guess I'm entitled to an opinion. Let's reserve the opinion column for people who only have negative comments. I dare call them opinions. Opinions typically are based on facts. I rarely see any "opinion" on this site that is fact based.
Let 's certainly not consider the facts.
By the way, I would like someone to show me who invested $15,000,000 already. Who is the "We" in we invested $15,000,000. Let's see some proof of that fact.
The fact is we haven't invested a dime. We as in the citizens of Adams County or the State of Mississippi. Rentech, on the other hand, has invested a substantial amount of time and money on this project. Rentech has had company officials and consultants in Adams County on a regular basis for several months. They've invested thousands of dollars to this project.
If you want to post an opinion, let's see some facts to support. Try being positive. It may be infectious.

To all you naysayers, please pack your bags and leave town. The rest of us will keep the lights on for Rentech. I love all of the negative comments. I certainly don't see anyone offering any viable solutions. Excuse me, any solutions at all.

Congradulations District 1. Great picture of Lazarus and Lyles, campaign manager for Lazarus. Lyles was convicted of voter fraud in the last District 1 election. See what you've got to look forward to the next four years. It should be great driving on gravel roads again. Things could be worse. We could be living in Iraq.

Good try. Read my blog again. I'm not going to engage in nonsensical dribble and waste everyone's time.
Thanks anyway
By the way, pick up a dictionary and you will find the definition of socialism. A far cry from what you advocate.
On Rentech deal is finally closed
