Ken was always very caring and kind to my mother for the last several years of her life and for that I will always be thankful to him. He is very deserving of this award.
Mary is a wonderful Christian lady who really does care about her community.
Congrats to both!

And I guess that will be paid for with the 7 billion that Gov. Terminator is now asking for from the Feds. More bailouts. Disgusting.
On Do you know how you will vote in the presidential election?

Hey Hippie! I just got back on a little while ago and noticed everyone is still at it. I see that you have been having some fun...lol. Makes for some interesting reading too. Got to run. Have some business to take care of. Have a good day. I'll catch up with all you "wild thangs" later. I'm outta here.

Bombingeight, you are right, I should not have just posted something that was obviously incorrect without having checked it myself. For that, I appologize. Do I still get kicked out of the tribe now?..lol

Good for the Dems and Repubs who voted against this corporate welfare program. Now they will be forced to come up with a good plan that works for the American public.
How about the one I heard about today....give each American citizen 18 or older 450k, let each one be taxed on that amount which would leave about 250 to 300k and the whole deal could be done for about 65 billion and the government would get back about 15 billion in taxes. Everyone could pay off cars, houses, credit cards or put the money in investments. I wonder how that would affect the economy?
Just thinking out loud.

Damn Yeah, I don't know if I can handle your sophistication today. Yes, you are smart as hell...I know that...you make it very clear to everyone within keystroke and probably in person too. I sometimes wonder if you wish you were from a different time or place....you seem so out of place on occasion when you are conversing with everyone else on here.....except maybe Enk or Sam.
I am glad I am a Southerner from Mississippi and that I have a Southern accent. I don't see anything wrong with it, just as I don't see anything wrong with an accent from Boston or Pittsburgh. I wish I had a place to go hunting or fishing again with my sons but I can't afford the leases and noone I know just allows friends to enter their property anymore without a lease of some sort. I would love to go to a camp and hang out with friends and talk about things that friends talk about....I don't need to shoot anything anymore. I guess I have gotten past that stage in my life...I just like to watch the critters. And, as far as the schools go, when I was a young fellow, the Natchez Schools were the best. A student could get a great education which put them on sure-footing toward a properous future. But things changed in Natchez. One can blame it on a lot of different things but I believe it started when the federal government got involved and took away American's right to choose and forced busing on everyone. It ruined community schools and the students and teachers involved. I don't know what can be done at this point considering the fact that we, the taxpayers, pour tremendous amounts of money into the system and yet the kids don't want to learn. If you have an answer to that problem I would love to hear it. But please, don't just spout political retoric at me. I have had a really bad day and don't feel like fighting....I'm a lover by nature...lol. Hope you had a great weekend

Rusty, Terri, Russ, Nicki and Bobby and the rest of the family,
I am so saddened by this tragic lost of Jake and will continually pray for your peace and comfort.
Jake was like a son to me when he was a youngster. As you know, Jake was one of my favorite people just because of the way he did things. He was so intense with everything that he tried...baseball, football, track...everything. I loved taking him with me on vacations and watching him play sports and I will miss him terribly. Words cannot express the way I feel so I cannot begin to imagine your pain. Jake will always be with me in my heart.
Ted

No, it is because of groups like ACORN and their employees abusing their positions and intimidating some people into registering to vote multiple times. For instance, one lady has admitted to allowing herself to be registered over 70 times...and the Dallas Cowboys have shown up on registration papers in Nevada. All of this because the employees are paid based on the number of people they sign up. They are being investigated by the FBI and hopefully will spend a little time in the hokie.
