The power went out in woodlawn in Ferriday the day before the hurricane hit and thanks to the brave men from Monroe we finnaly gt it back last night. Ferrida had power back but for us in Woodlawn it took a lot longer, why you ask.
Well the poor men not only had to battle huge downed oak trees but also a huge and I mean huge bee hive that was in one of the downed trees. The bees were not happy to say the least. The crews had to go in make a couple cuts with chain saws and then run out because the bee's were stinging them. After 4 days without power it was a blessing to have it back. The food from everyones freezer that spoiled can always be replaced. God bless the crews from Monroe and Arkansa and thank you so very much.

Now maybe the streets of Ferriday will be safer. The new chief will have an uphill battle to clean up the image of the police department but it can be done. Having a panel decide who will be our chief is a great idea, we will have a different perspective on the candidates.

On Ferriday's new chief of police should be chosen by Monday
