Sentas, what do you think causes poverty? LAZINESS. If your to lazy to study, or to lazy to work than what do you think is going to happen. As long as people get hand outs and make everybody feel sorry for them then you will always have poverty, it has nothing to do with paying our teachers more. You don't have to have a college degree to get your lazy ass off the couch and go to work. Obviously it helps but. If a kid is raised by parents who don't work and don't care about their education than what you have is the evolution of laziness.

Ferriday is the way it is because of laziness, the same disease that is affecting our whole country. Lazy people don't work so they don't have no money to spend, what money they do have is give to them and when something is give to you, you don't take care of it. When you have to work for something, you take better care of it. So until the day comes where people work instead of sit around all day waiting on a check Ferriday will always look the way it does. It has to start from ground level and work its way up instead of waiting on a goverment handout to repair whats messed up.

It won't be long before Ferriday has tumbleweeds rolling through town.

Its to bad that Clifford can't work in Monterey, hell he would never run out of work. But the problem is Concordia parish doesn't want that. If they were to bring in someone as dedicated as Clifford than that would expose how corrupt our parish really is. It is all in who you know, everybody knows somebody to get them out of trouble. The problem is the ignert people who think they are doing them a favor by bailing them out when they get in trouble. A crime is a crime, you should be punished for it no matter who you know. When people start using their heads instead of their hearts, they will realize what is happening. Arresting meth heads will never end as long as people keep the attitude of just slapping them on the wrist. Our area needs to quit living in denial about their family members and quit letting embaressment cause them to make poor decisions.

Why on earth would someone from Monterey want to go to Natchez to cook Meth when they can get away with it in Monterey. Hell everybody cooks it down there and gets away with it. Expecially now that the election is over, there is no patrol. You crack heads need to wise up and quit making stupid decisions like this one.

Destiny, If the picture showed Hyram and Glen pouring a slab than I would have said "Good Job Hyram and Glen", but this forum didn't start off with them, it started w/ illegal immigrants and not hiring Natchez people and I had a problem w/ that, so if you are riding in the same boat as sayitloud and goonabehappy and what i said offended you than get over it. We need hard working people, not belly achers like yourself.

Gottabemad: I guarantee if yad to grow up in the sh## hole those guys probably grew up in, poverty striken, living in a bowl of dirt and sand, no electricity, no air conditioner, no interet, tv, ipods, and the list could go on and on, then I guarntee that you would jump the fence to freedom whether it be legal or illegal. So don't judge those people and down grade them because they are not Americans, the Lord God above could have easily put you in their shoes. Sure their are plenty laws to keep illegal immegrants out of this country and I am all for that. But at the same time I respect these people for the effort of survival and hard work that they show, yet some are good and some are bad, but they are no different then we are. We all have to live on this earth together, so don't be so selfish to a group of people who have mouths to feed, you put yourself in their shoes.

When will the day come when our towns in the Miss-Lou can step up and be creative by their selves and not need some assistance in making a decision on how to run their buisness. True leadership is making a decision, standing by your decision and seeing it through to the end whether its right or wrong. There is no one on earth who is going to make everyone happy. The fact of the matter is that Natchez don't need more holes at Duncan Park, if anything is done to Duncan Park it should be to repair the old 9 holes and give them some character to resemble the new 9 holes. There is plenty of room at Duncan park right now to build more ballfields. It may taking some reshaping of the golf course on the old 9 but it can be done. There are engineers and equipment that can satisfy alot of this work instead of spending a million bucks on 20 acres. Sure it would be nice to have Inglewood but I dont believe that it should be top priority. I used to play golf at Duncan Park alot but over the last few years I haven't due to how poor the greens were each time I played. I go now only to take my little girl to play in the play ground area, which could use a little attention, and to watch my wife play tennis. All these area could be so beautiful and so worth going to if everyone would come together and show that they care.
I believe that our leaders make short term repairs instead of making full repairs to eliminate these issues for our children to take care of. Our leaders need to plan their buisness to the fullest, weight every option, find the best person to do the job.
