I know if I was a Sheriffs Deputy or planning on it, " thinking about joining the volunteer program though" I would much rather have Chuck Mayfield as Sheriff then Ray Brown.
I went to both Website, got to say. Chuck Mayfield has the best qualifications out of the two, by far. No offense Mr Brown, but people need to vote for experience in this day and age.
As for a racial issues, let's face it, some will do this, but I follow JESUS CHRIST. Let's all be a part of GOD'S race of people. When it is all said and done, racism will not be tolerated in heaven, but will be punished in hell.

My candidate didn't win, But I pulled for you Cliff. Now run off. I know at the Democratic candidate speech forum around a month ago, I know Randy Freeman wasn't there, but I was impressed by Chuck Mayfield the best after Cliff Cox. A few days later, I seen Randy Freeman in a local hardware store and I talked to him. He impressed me, even though he was pressed for time.
I get a feel from these two guys about a sense of GOD present in there lives through there campaign fliers. Mr Brown, not from his campaign flier or from his website does he mention about GOD. I checked. So, no mater who is chosen to run against Ray Brown, Mayfield or Freeman, will be my candidate.

You know I got to put my two cents in. Many of us was trying to tell you all a year ago. The reading was on the wall the whole time. Still many still can't read the writing. I have been hearing many including many black people, talk about many would vote different.

Convinced, to me is not good enough. I still say taxes will go up. I am beyond convinced. Doesn't quite smell as bad as the health care disaster Washington is throwing at us, but it does have a stink to it.
I say fix up what we got. Duncan Park!! if anything.

From the open field where the not being used anymore swimming pool is, is a great place to place another one or two more ball fields. There is enough land in the Duncan Park area to be utilized.

Good Luck on getting some honest people that has fallen on hard times. There are quite a few potential employees you could have. All we ask, give us a chance to get ourselves honestly corrected.
I am a man of faith. I have even fallen on hard times and have a few items I could catch up on. I know the last time I tried with you, I was rejected, but never given a reason.
Sometimes, some need to do a right thing for others. I was a driver trainer for one of the nations largest trucking companies. I was hard, but most important, I was fair!! In three years of training for this company, I never had not one student I submitted for upgrade to not pass on there 1st go at upgrade so they could get there on rig. I got only one bad evaluation in such time. from one student. I made sure my students had a chance.
Sometimes, with some people, you may need to take a chance so we could get ourselves out of our situation, HONESTLY!

I see these comments. I use to be like many of you until I truly starting trusting in JESUS CHRIST. I find in situations like this, it is hard to imagine what a child is going through, but we as Christians have a responsibility to understand about the devil and his divisive plans to destroy GODS" greatest creation, Man.
I will pray for the 12 year old girl, but I will also pray for the 41 year old man. He truly needs prayer also. The devil tempted him with a sin, and he feel for it. Now he will have to pay a price for his crime. Don't be deceived. The devil knows how what he is doing. Wrongful attitudes that people have is just a part of the devils scheme to get you away from the true love of GOD, and replace it with a hate for our fellow human being.
1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

"One of the economic positives is that it will bring significant revenue to our community. Another positive is that it is good for our mental, moral and physical health, which is paramount on many minds today in this country. Athletics are positive. We need it, our children deserve it"
I hate to differ, but I do not believe this will be a cost effective measure. The other part about the children s welfare delivered through sports. To me, this statements is to take the place of good parenting skills. Good parenting skills will trump all this. I hate to be negative to true fact, parents are not doing good parenting skills anymore. Take away the video games. Take away the twinkies. Don't give in to the child's mentality to misbehaving. i know I got plenty off exercise playing ring around the mommy with one arm in the air, while momma was holding it, and a switch in her other hand and me going around in circles.
Teach kids about good neighbor relations. kids are to busy twittering or playing video games. No personal face to face people relation skills anymore. Help the elderly in your neighbor hood. A good push mower and some human horsepower, makes for good exercise, plus builds community based relationship. Makes a sense of self fulfillment of knowing you done something good for someone, like your grandmother or someones grandmother or someone who is incapable of helping to do things in life anymore.
Finally, I hate to disagree, but I do find if we can not afford this, and personally what we have have now to be updated, this would be enough.
