Thanks ot all the hard working crews for getting the power back on. I feed off of Entergy and I noticed on my street we had a company from Gilbert, LA working in the pouring rain and wind trying to get power back on. My thoughts and prayers are with these hard workers.

I wonder what happened to the generator that the water plant had in Ferriday? We use to have one for backup. Did it break or did it disappear when our old mayor was voted out of office?

Goldie remember if you try to argue with ignornace you can never win, they will only beat you down to their level. It's ashame that sometimes someone has to act up on here when others are trying have discussions and argue their opinions. It's nice to hear other people's view points on serious matters. But just like the outside world, the net has it's fair share of ignorant people. Some things we can't escape.

If the sheriff's deputies or police would have just let this thug go when he didn't stop they would have been criticized for not doing their jobs and sending a message out to the other thugs to run if the cops try to pull you over because they will not pursue you. Instead they pursue this guy and are still blamed for putting so many lives in danger. This thug MLM is to blame, had he pulled over like the cops wanted him to do in the first place no chase would have been necessary. The cops were doing there jobs and MLM was the one causing people's lives to be put in danger. Think of all the thugs and crime that would go in the area if the thugs new they could run from the cops and the cops would just let them go.

iluvntz this didn't all happen because MLM didn't stop at a stop sign, he was in a stolen vehicle.

Proper maintenance is very important but there are other things we can also do to save gas that this article didn't even touch on.
Use the cruise control. It smoothes out the driver's accelerator input by preventing nervous "surging." Also, it makes the driver take the long view of the road rather than reacting to every change in the traffic around them.
Fill your tank at the coolest time of day.
Fuel is denser when it's cool in the early morning or late night.. Your engine consumes fuel by weight but gas pumps dispense fuel by volume. The colder the fuel is when you pump it, the more of it you get for the same money.

Surely Miss Lloyd wouldn't accept Gene Allen's offer to attend the pageant with her if her platform is on solutions to poverty. Considering the fact the money he is using to help fund his trip is being taken from a town with a large amount of it's people living in poverty. If Miss Lloyd is serious about helping finding a solution to poverty she should stand up to her mother and let her mother know it's wrong to use funds from a poverty stricken town to help someone fund their trip to go along with her.

Thanks for the link envyme, I just emailed a complaint to the Louisiana Legislative Auditor. I hope they look into it and do something about it. Thank God Glen won this time and that Narcissist Pig is on his way out the door.
