a 6,000 dollar per year raise to the superintendent for an under performing school district surely can afford to test its school personel. A 41,000,000 budget can find the resources to test its personel. I forgot thats the parents job as well. It is the parents responsibility to make sure schools are safe. Keep hiring people from else where with no background check and see what happens. Keep firing all the people from your hometown. You people might as well hire the TALIBAN it will fit the rest of your decision making. Some citizens got the nerve to question or try to demean the COMMITTEE FOR BETTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS. 2000 PLUS STUDENTS SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL FOR WHATEVER REASONS BUT YOU YOU DID NOT KNOW YOUR TEACHER WAS ARRESTED UNTIL THURSDAY. DID HE CALL IN SICK ON WEDNESDAY AND THE DISTRICT PAID HIM WHILE HE WAS BEING DETAINED. Taxpayers we need that job(lol)

LAST I RECALLED THERE ARE 100 MEMBERS IN THE SENATE AND 435 MEMBERS IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE. THAT'S A SMALL AMOUNT PEOPLE TO REPRESENT MILLIONS IN THIS COUNTRY. YOU NEED TOGETHERNESS, FAITH AND HARWORK AND YOU WILL ACHEIVE.

THANKS MAYOR WEST FOR ALL YOU DID TO ENSURE BLACK STUDENTS/WHITE STUDENTS RECEIVE AN ADEQUATE EDUCATION. WE ALL MAY NOT LIKE THE WAY IT WAS DONE.IT JUST TOOK A MERE 36 YEARS FOR THE RULING HANDED DOWN IN 1954 BROWN VERSUS THE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO REACH NATCHEZ. SEPERATE BUT EQUAL "IS" UNCOSTITUTIONAL. WHENEVER THERE IS CHANGE OPPOSITION IS GREAT. STATUS QUO IS WHERE THE OLD SOUTH STILL LIVES. YOU PEOPLE IN NATCHEZ NEED TO GET WITH IT. THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE STATE IS OFTEN THE MOST OVERLOOKED IN TERMS OF INDUSTRY AND MOVING TO THE 21ST CENTURY BECAUSE OF THE BACK WOOD THINKING. NO MATTER HOW SMART A PERSON IS IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH FOR YOU. IF EDUCATION WAS A MAJOR FACTOR TO ANY OF YOU, THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM WOULD NOT BE IN THE SHAPE IT IS IN. WE ALL KNOW TRINITY AND ACCS WAS IN FINACIAL TROUBLE AND YOU NEEDED BLACK STUDENTS TO KEEP YOUR DOORS OPEN. YOU RECEIVE FEDERAL OR STATE FUNDING BECAUSE UPFRONT IT APPEARS YOU DON'T PROMOTE SEGREGATION. IN REALITY WE KNOW THAT IS NOT TRUE. YOU DID NOT BUILD THOSE SCHOOLS SEEKING A QUALITY EDUCATION FOR YOUR CHILDREN, YOU BUILT THOSE SCHOOLS BECAUSE YOU (WHITE) THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPERIOR TO BLACKS. DON'T THINK OTHERS ARE NOT AWARE OF YOUR UNDERHANDED DEALIINGS. TO INDICATE BLACKS CANNOT COMPETE WITH YOU ACADEMICALLY IS TRULY LIVING IN THE CONFEDERACY. do you know what head of household mean, CEO of a corporation mean, mayor, president and etc. When something goes awry these people are held acountable. On the otherhand when businesses shows aprofit they are also held accountable. It is not the employee the stockholders single out but it is the CHIEF PERSON in charge. Natchez Regional has a problem, and it is not the the doctors and staff. It is with the board and the CEO, thats why he resign,. He failed to operate the hospital EFFECTIVELY. Level 2 school(D-) is not effective but DEFECTIVE.

CITIZENS OF NATCHEZ PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THINK OF THE STUDENTS, AND THE FUTURE OF THE TOWN. LEADERSHIP IS CRUCIAL TO SURVIVING. THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL ATTACK ON ANYONE. THIIS IS ABOUT A POOR JOB. DR. MORRIS MAY HAVE DONE HIS BEST, BUT IN THIIS CASE IT IS CLEARLY OBVIOUS HIS BEST IS NOT ENOUGH, AT LEAST NOT FOR THIS SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE DISTRICT HAS ALREADY FALLEN TO THE BOTTOM. I find it necessary to defend parents. Because of my concern about my children education I was label a troublemaker. I heard a group of teachers "who do she think her children are, they are passing why do she keep coming here?" 99% of my visits had to do with their education. You would not believe the attitudes a parent has to endure if he or she is concern about the education of their children.
The attitude starts in the office and trickles down to security. You request a parent meeting with one teacher and every teacher comes. Why are all of you here, we are a team and we back each other whether we have a problem or not and the principals allow that kind of meeting. You are placed in the middle and all the teachers surrounds you and your child giving the same comments totally rehearsed.How can every teacher have the same problems, same comments? For god's sake don't challenge their method of teaching and you and your child become a marked person. Teachers give your child homework, you and your child spend eaarly evening doing homework only to find out we don't give grades for homework because the parent might do it or help!!!!!!! Who in the hell works for nothing? So the child stops briinging home his homework assignments. Teachers walk pass the desk to see if you did it, not whether or not its right, so in essence they can place anything on the desk. You call parents to bring the child a belt but you never call and say johnny left his homework on the table can you bring it over? In PE they play ball everday none of the them have ever heard of Naismith, basketball terminology and fundamentals are not being taught in fact just ask the children and you will find they know very little about Physical Education. Have you ever attended an awards program they are shabbily put together. It is quite obvious there was no effort in preparation. You would really be embarrass, this is suppose to be the highlight of the year and the academic awards ar displayed like they are garbage. This is the attitude of teachers and principals. On occassions the principals had no comment.But during the begining of school you should hear the comments from the principal about what they are not going to tolerate. Can you imagine having been on the superintendent list all year and they tell your child you cannot get the highest average award becaause you made honor roll everytime but you can only get the honoroll award. No lie can you believe this? We can't give you your class rank in high school for a scholarship until after graduation? and the scholarship deadline is in April.The principal and the board upholds this B______. Most scholarships are given during the spring. In June all scholrships have been awarded.
PEOPLE THEY DON'T WANT US THERE BECAUSE WE WOULD EXPOSE THEIR LACK THERE OF. DO YOU ALL GET MY POINT!!!!!!!!! PLEASE TALK TO THE PARENTS. IF YOU FORCE THEM TO WORK FOR A PAYCHECK THEY ARE GOING TO PUT A HIT ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

npdsucks is correct about nhs asst. principal. the school board and superintendent had to be aware. you can't hide something like this from the community. I knew about it before I moved away 5 years ago. JUST ASK VIDALIA.
