Thank you, ThornInYourSide!! It's time to get over it. As far as Michael Bell goes, he left Jena & went to Monroe. Got arrested. Left Monroe & went to Texas. Got arrested. But you don't see that splashed all over the news. Where are his homeboys Al & Jessie now????

overthehill60, csguidry didn't make the post you are referring to - I did. And while there may be DOC inmates at Concordia Correctional Facility who are behind in child support, that is not what they are in the DOC system for. In order to be a DOC inmate, you must be sentenced to hard labor for a felony. Child support does not fall under that category. I won't argue the point, because it is really irrelevant and there are none of the dead-beat dads at the Work Release facility.

overthehill60, you sound like a very nice person, but you are dead wrong on this issue. While there are prisoners at the parish prison who are there for not paying child support, they are NOT D.O.C. prisoners. There are ZERO DOC prisoners in Louisiana doing time for non-support. While work release prisoners are supposed to have no violent criminal history, this simply isn't the case. There are robbers, drug dealers, burglars, forgers.....out there and being sent out into the parish every single day.
firered, I do not know who you checked with, but the work release prisoners pay room and board along with medical and transportation costs to their jobs. This money goes directly to CPSO.
And yes, rusure, this is Sandy's "personal" favorite and she did everything she could to stop his transfer to DOC. But the sheriff wasn't here and the Warden took the appropriate action.....
