SMITH TAKES BBA The Borderline Bass Anglers held their June event on a busy dingy 84 degree plus Lake St. John in crispy 78-95 degree air. The day produced 4 quality keepers with two limits for the 20 members plus 2 guests. Winner Buddy Smith of Ferriday had 4 nice bass weighing 9.80 pounds on topwaters while Doug "Team Kistler/Outkast Tackle/Eddie's Marine" Schexnayder had an 8.75 limit on his radical Baby Torpedo for 2nd. Third place was Joey Chapman of Monterey with an 8.65 limit and a 3.30 quality bite. Others with fish were Barry Chapman of Monterey (3 for 6.70, 3.25 qb), Keith Andrews (2 for 6.40 and 4.15 lunker), Johnny Havard (5.40), Bobby Hall (5.10), Joey Gilbert (4.35), Bill Murray (4.30), Michael Essary (3.20), Nick Andrews (3.10), Clifton Chapman (2.00), Ronnie "Team Eddie's Marine" Gillespie (2.00), Donny Chapman (1.35), Steve Gibson (1.10), Richard Hess (.95) and Wally Smith (.95).
