Willa Dean Bush

Aug. 8, 1931 – Aug. 31, 1999

LARTO, La. – Services for Willa Dean Bush, 68, of Larto, La., who died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, in Alexandria, will be at 10 a.m. today at Larto Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Walker and the Rev. Larry Doughty officiating.

Burial will be in the Pease Cemetery in Larto under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation is until service time today at the church.

She was a homemaker and a member of Larto Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Bush; one son, Gary E. Bush; two brothers, Roger Book and Harold &uot;Buddy&uot; Book; one sister, Carole Rabalais.

Pallbearers will be Harold Book Jr., Mark Rabalais, Scott Rabalais, Ricky White, Winfred Wiley Jr. and Kenny Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Larto Baptist Church.

Donald L. Partin Sr.

Aug. 19, 1927 – Aug. 31, 1999

GLOSTER – Services for Donald L. Partin Sr., 72, of Crosby formerly of Zachary, La., who died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, La., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bernard Waites officiating.

Burial will be in the Partin Family Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Partin was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Woodville, the son of Grady Edward Partin and Bessie Partin Foster.

He was a retired member of Teamsters Local No. 5 in Baton Rouge and a member of Corinth Church of Christ near Woodville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II.

Mr. Partin was preceded in death by his father, Grady Edward Partin and a brother, Edward Grady Partin.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Partin of Crosby; three sons and spouses, P. Joe Partin and Jeanne of Zachary, Donald L. Partin Jr. and Tammie of Zachary and Willie D. Partin of Crosby; a daughter and spouse, Dona Voss and John of Danbury, Texas; mother, Bessie Foster of Baker, La.; two sisters, Hazel Chaneellor of Sugar Land, Texas and Sandra Guy of Baker; one brother, Douglas Partin of Crosby; seven grandchildren, Jessica Partin, Jason Partin, Lesli Partin, Randy Partin, Billy Edmonston, Travis Voss, Jeremy Voss; one great-grandchild, Hannah Partin; Reeda Sweet; and a number of nieces, nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Cavin, Eugene Pritchard, Jennings Nettles, Howard Netterville, Mike Forman, Wallie Cavin, Dudley Carter and Justin Cavin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Netterville, Denton &uot;Flop&uot; Thomas, William &uot;Cricket&uot; Forman, Joe Cavin, Gene McGee, Rayford Wilson, Jack Leake and Edisel &uot;Sonny&uot; Brown.

The family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Hazel May Flanagan Walters

May 31, 1923 – Aug. 31, 1999

Services for Hazel May Flanagan Walters, 76, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Robertson officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walters was born May 31, 1923, in Raymond, the daughter of Dewey Patrick and Lavelle Alford Flanagan.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, South Central Bell Telephone Pioneers and was retired from South Central Bell after 33 years of service.

Mrs. Walters was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Eugene Walters; one daughter, Myra Smith; and one brother, Pat Flanagan.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Richard E. &uot;Ricky&uot; and Cindy Walters of Vidalia, La.; a daughter, Frances Sikes of Pineville, La.; seven grandchildren, Angel D. Sikes, Rick Walters, Jenni Sikes, Chad Saxon, Larry E. Sikes Jr., John Allen Walters and Lydia Smith; one sister, Faye Cranfield of Port Gibson; five brothers, Max Flanagan and Lloyd Flanagan, both of Raymond, Allen Flanagan of Flora, Talmadge Flanagan of Washington, D.C., and Bennie Flanagan of Dover, Del.

Pallbearers will be Rick Walters, John Allen Walters, Larry E. Sikes Jr. and Gray Montgomery.
