Jonas Rosenfield of Los Angeles points out his grandfather, Samuel Ullman, to Mayer U. Newfield of Birmingham. Newfield is Rosenfield’s brother. They had never seen a photo of their grandfather at a young age until visiting Natchez. Ullman wrote a poem titled &uot;Youth,&uot; which will also be the name of a documentary about the one-time Natchez merchant.
