At the center of all that Janna Bryant does – you will find her family.
&uot;My family inspires me to do my best,&uot; Bryant said.
A senior at Adams County Christian School, Bryant is school yearbook editor, maintains a 4.0 grade point average, is a member of the Key Club, does volunteer work, is a member of her church choir, holds down a part-time job and manages to carve out time for her friends.
The 18-year-old Bryant came to America from South Korea when she was 4. Adopted by Mark E. and Verna Bryant of Natchez, she has a 26-year-old brother, Jason Bryant, who works in Clinton as a software test engineer.
Her father has worked at International Paper’s Natchez mill for 29 years and operated his own electronics business with his wife for 20 years.
Bryant shares her brother’s interest in computer technology and admits he probably influenced her toward computers as a career choice.
Next fall, Bryant plans to attend Mississippi College in Clinton for two reasons. First, it is closer to her brother. Second, it is a Christian school.
&uot;I try to put God into everything I do,&uot; she said. &uot;I read my Bible. I took Bible in school and every time I read it, I find something new.&uot;
Right now, Bryant’s main focus is meeting section deadlines on the school yearbook which covers grades K-12.
In addition to designing the yearbook pages, Bryant also contributes sports and student life photos.
When at school, Bryant’s favorite subject is her Advanced Placement English Literature class.
&uot;I love the classics,&uot; she said, adding that she enjoys reading whenever she gets the opportunity.
