Police are searching for three men who robbed a Natchez pizza delivery man at gunpoint Sunday night.
When the Pizza Hut driver arrived at a house in the 200 block of Oakland Drive off Morgantown Road, he found the house was abandoned.
&uot;As he drove up, three individuals were standing outside the residence,&uot; said Natchez Police Chief Willie Huff. &uot;He asked if they were the ones that ordered the pizza.
&uot;They said ‘yes,’&uot; Huff said. &uot;(Then) one pulled a gun and said ‘as long as you don’t holler and make noise, I won’t hurt you.’&uot;
Huff said the victim immediately handed over the pizza and a &uot;small amount&uot; of cash and ran away.
The delivery man drove back to Pizza Hut on D’Evereux Drive and called the police. He was not injured.
Natchez Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the suspects who were described as three black males of an unknown age. At least one was wearing a white sweatshirt, Huff said.
Investigators would not verify whether they knew the telephone number used to place the order.
&uot;Someone in the Oakland Subdivision saw them standing out there waiting,&uot; he said. &uot;And we need them to call us.&uot;
