Storms postpone contests

Monday storms caused havoc with prep action around the Miss-Lou, even pushing back today’s schedule.
&uot;I went out to the field and saw 6-pound bass playing around,&uot; joked Vidalia High softball coach Gary Paul Parnham, whose home contest with Ferriday today has been postponed.
Vidalia may play at Crowville today in a game rained out last week.
Natchez High’s home baseball game with Forest Hill High today has been postponed to Wednesday.
The key Division 6-5A tilt will start at 4 p.m. with a junior varsity game, followed at 6 p.m. by the varsity.
Forest Hill defeated Natchez in Jackson last month. The Bulldogs, who have two division losses, need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Vidalia High District 3-2A baseball contest at Ferriday Monday was postponed until a later date.
The Viking junior varsity team was set to host Monterey today, but that game has been postponed.
Vidalia hosts Block Thursday.
Adams County Christian School’s baseball game at Copiah was postponed and AC officials were waiting to decide on today’s home South AAAA contest with Hillcrest.
If the game is not played today, it will be pushed back to Wednesday.
Cathedral High’s baseball game at Richland today has been pushed back to Wednesday at 5 and 7 p.m.
Huntington’s baseball team is scheduled to play at Franklin today, but the decision on that game will be made by noon today.
Also postponed Monday was Trinity’s softball game at Pine Hills.
The Lady Saints are scheduled to play Amite School Center today at the Natchez Girls Softball Complex and the decision will be made this morning on that game.
ACCS’ softball game at Bowling Green was rained out and will be made up a later date.
AC plays Saturday in at tournament in Brandon.
Huntington’s tennis match at CHA Monday was rained out. The Hounds tennis team plays at River Oaks today in a make-up contest from earlier in the season.
Cathedral’s tennis team plays at Richland today.
Natchez High’s tennis team hosts Provine at Duncan Park.
Natchez High’s Coca-Cola Relays track meet has been changed from Saturday to Friday at Natchez High Stadium because of the threat of Saturday rain.
