JONESVILLE, La. — Two suspects in the 1994 murder of a Jonesville man are behind bars after turning themselves in to their attorney Wednesday afternoon.

Robert W. Hudson, 41, was wanted on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Timothy Littleton, 24, in early September 1994.

Hudson’s wife, Celestine Coldiron Hudson, 35, was wanted on a charge of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.

Attorney Stephen Hansen said the couple turned themselves in at his Monroe office at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

&uot;It was very uneventful,&uot;&160;Hansen said.

Hansen notified an FBI agent and a deputy of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

They, in turn, called state police, who transported the couple to the Catahoula Parish Jail.

Bond had not been set for either Robert Hudson or Celestine Hudson as of Thursday.

George Hudson and Merrie Hudson, Robert Hudson’s brother and sister-in-law, are already in jail on charges of accessory to second-degree murder.

Louisiana State Police had been searching for the couple since last week.

Limited information was released earlier this week in an attempt to get leads on the Hudsons’ location from the public.

Robert Hudson and Celestine Hudson had lived on Louisiana 124 near Jonesville before moving to Monterey several months ago.

Robert Hudson allegedly shot Littleton as Littleton and a friend tried to steal marijuana plants from a field near the Black River levee in the Grassy Lake area of south Catahoula Parish.

Following the shooting, Robert Hudson was indicted on a charge of marijuana cultivation but not on a murder charge.

McKee confirmed that new information discovered in the last two weeks led the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Office to name Robert Hudson and Celestine Hudson as suspects in the murder investigation.
