The Powells also enjoyed the course they and the other participants played on.

&uot;It’s a beautiful course,&uot; Pete Powell said. &uot;It’s probably one of the top three in the state.&uot;

The Powells led the championship flight with a 63 going into Sunday’s action.

The Powells birdied two of the first three holes and finished with seven birdies and no bogeys on Sunday.

&uot;We played a little better on the front nine than we did on the back nine,&uot; Pete Powell said. &uot;They had it playing easier than they usually do. If they had made it tough, the players wouldn’t enjoy it at all.
