Little ghosts and goblins and their chaperones will be out in full force for trick-or-treating tonight and Natchez is ready for them.
Natchez has not set any specific trick-or-treating hours, but Police Chief Willie Huff is advising adults to have their trick-or-treaters off the streets by 8:30 p.m, especially since, with the arrival of standard time, it now gets dark earlier.
Huff is also advising parents or guardians to accompany their children when trick-or-treating — carrying a flashlight for safety — and to make sure they know the people from whom their children receive treats.
&uot; We’ll have extra officers patrolling the streets looking for unsafe driving and other irresponsible acts,&uot;&160;Huff said.
In Vidalia, La., trick-or-treating will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Ferriday, La., has set its trick-or-treating curfew for 9 p.m., according to town officials.
