Two years ago, the Alumni Women defeated the Lady Saints, and some members of the losing team are ready for revenge.

&uot;They beat the high school team two years ago,&uot; said junior Becky Bass. &uot;It’s time to show them who’s the best.&uot;

&uot;I’m ready to beat them,&uot; said senior Sara Greer. &uot;I was on the team when they beat us two years ago. It was embarrassing.&uot;

&uot;I was also on that team,&uot; said junior Lauren Tanner. &uot;I’m ready to play them. I’m ready to show the fans that we’re going to be really good this year.&uot;

&uot;My mom, Ann, is playing on the alumni team,&uot; said senior Jennifer Paradise. &uot;I know they’re old and out of shape and we’re going to run them up and down the court.&uot;

The second game will consist of alumni men of 1986 and before and one team against alumni men of 1987 and after on the other team.

Game time will be at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Ed Daly, who graduated from Trinity in 1985, said he is ready to do battle with the younger male alumni.

&uot;I’m the second youngest guy on the old team,&uot; he said. &uot;I have no problem playing against the younger guys. We can teach them a trick or two. We’ve occasionally scrimmaged with the varsity (boys) team.&uot;

Howard Jones, a 1979 Trinity graduate, will be one of the older players on that team.

&uot;I really don’t know how young they’ll be,&uot; he said. &uot;They’ll be in better shape than we are. We’ll be ready for them. Russell Butts (Class of ’77) will be the oldest player on the team.&uot;

Both games will be played in four five-minute quarters. There will be a spaghetti supper at 5:30 p.m., followed by &uot;Meet the Saints&uot; at 6:30 p.m. with the games starting at 7 p.m.
