Annie Mae Donaldson Scott
Dec. 20, 1924 – Dec. 19, 2000
Services for Annie Mae Donaldson Scott, 75, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Spencer officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Scott was born Dec. 20, 1924, in Baskin, La., the daughter of Richard Israel and Rita Alma Merritt Stampley.
She was a longtime resident of Natchez and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Connie and Mark Morace of Vidalia, La.; five sons and their wives, Ron and Angie Donaldson, Dale and Kathy Donaldson, all of Vidalia, Gary and Michele Donaldson of Byram, Farrell and Shirley Donaldson of Richland and Darrell and Cindy Donaldson of Moulton, Ala.; two brothers and their wives, Walter and Jessie Mae Stampley and Richard and Georgia Fay Stampley Jr., all of Columbia; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randy Stampley, Henry McElroy, Justin McElroy, Lloyd McDaniels, John Morace and Trinity Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Stampley, Byron Donaldson, William Donaldson and Dale Donaldson Jr.

Lena Nell Skipper
MONTEREY, La. – Services for Lena Nell Skipper, 56, of Monterey, who died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, at her residence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hall Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis H. Barber officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Howard’s Funeral Home of Jonesville.
A wake service will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Skipper was preceded in death by her father, James &uot;Red&uot; Skipper.
Survivors include two sons, Rusty and Glenn Skipper of New Orleans; her mother, Bobbie Skipper; two brothers, Harold and Billy Skipper of Monterey; her grandmother, Birdie Lee Skipper of Ferriday; and four grandchildren.

Juanita Blankenship Rodgers
Sept. 5, 1914 – Dec. 20, 2000
CLEVELAND – Services for Juanita Blankenship Rodgers, 86, who died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Bolivar Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in Cleveland, will be at 11 a.m. today at Fletcher-Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Hill officiating.
Burial will be in the New Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher Nowell Funeral Home, Cleveland.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rodgers was born Sept. 5, 1914, in Winfield, Ala., the daughter of William Henry Blankenship and Mary Frances Tipper. In the 1920s, she moved to Skene, where she married Brody Edward Rodgers in the early 1930s. They lived in Natchez for 20 years and moved back to Cleveland in 1970. She was a housewife and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleveland.
Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Banks W. Van Pelt Sr.

Services for Banks W. Van Pelt, Sr., 79, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Nunn officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Van Pelt was born Sept. 23, 1921, in Charlotte, N.C., the son of Dennis and Lydia Wid Rose Van Pelt.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Van Pelt of Natchez; one son, Banks &uot;Skip&uot; Van Pelt Jr. of Natchez; one grandson, Banks W. Van Pelt III of Jacksonville, Fla.; two granddaughters, Honor L. Van Pelt Davis of Tupelo and Barbara D. Van Pelt West of Atlanta; six great-grandchildren, Jennifer E. Wilde, Banks W. Van Pelt IV, Damien Van Pelt, Julian Van Pelt, William Reed Davis and Reagan Leigh Davis.
