As Concordia Electric employee David Drummond steadies the church steeple from above, Myles Smith and Ray Hammett guide it into place Monday morning atop Sycamore Baptist Church in Vidalia. Over the past six months church members collected donations from its congregation and past membership to buy a steeple for the 45-year old church church.
