Vidalia, Franklin County and Monterey make up half of the six teams that will be involved in today’s Vidalia High School Softball Tournament at the Vidalia High Softball Field.

Jena, Winnsboro and Rayville make up the other half of this year’s field.

The six teams will be divided up into two &uot;pools&uot; of three teams – host Vidalia, Monterey and Winnsboro in Pool 1 and Jena, Franklin County and Rayville in Pool 2.

Vidalia and Monterey face each other in the tournament’s first game at 9:30 a.m., followed by Franklin County versus Jena at 10:45 a.m.; Monterey versus Winnsboro at 12 p.m.; Jena versus Rayville at 1:15 p.m.; Winnsboro versus Vidalia at 2:30 p.m.; and Rayville versus Franklin County at 3:45 p.m.

In each of these games, the first team listed will be the home team for that game.

The No. 3 team from Pool 1 will take on the number three team from Pool 2 at 5 p.m.

The No. 2 team from Pool 1 will go up against the number two team from Pool 2 at 6:15 p.m.

The No. 1 team from Pool 1 will face the number one team from Pool 2 at 7:30 p.m.

The home teams for those three games will be determined by a coin toss.
