VIDALIA, La. – The arrest of a Natchez murder suspect in a mobile home near Vidalia Friday night also led to the arrest of three others on marijuana charges, Concordia Parish Sheriff Randy Maxwell said Saturday.

After a citizen alerted police, Cedric Williams of Natchez, a suspect in the Wednesday death of Alex Carter, was found hiding in the bathroom of a trailer in Donald’s Camper Village. But deputies also found eight or nine marijuana plants being grown in a closet in the trailer, Maxwell said.

The owner of the trailer, 26-year-old George T. Garland Jr., and 22-year-old Christy M. Roberts were booked on charges of manufacture of marijuana and possession of marijuana.
