Natchez police are looking for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint Friday in the Wal-Mart SuperCenter parking lot.
At 8:14 p.m., police received a call that a man had walked up to a woman who was putting groceries into her car near the garden center end of the lot. The man then pointed a silver pistol at the woman, stole her purse and told her not to scream, said Police Chief Willie Huff.
The man then fled from the scene in a black Ford extended cab truck with Mississippi plates. The truck was being driven by a woman with short blond hair.
The alleged robber was a white male about 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing baggy blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt with a zipper front.
Those with any information are asked to call Crimestoppers at 442-5000.
