Ida Anna R. Blanchette

June 20, 1901 – May 23, 2001

Graveside services for Ida Anna &uot;Ann&uot; Rickard Blanchette,

99, of Orange, Texas, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in San

Antonio, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Natchez City Cemetery under

the direction of Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Corky Evans

officiating.

Blanchette was born June 20, 1901, in Brenehauven, Germany.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, William B. Rickard

and Otar Blanchette; two sons, Harry Rickard and Frank Rickard;

and two granddaughters, Patsy Rickard and Becky Rickard.

Survivors include a son, Eddie L. Rickard of San Antonio; grandchildren,

Linda Douglass of Lake St. John, La., LeRoy Rickard of Texas,

Trenna Rickard of Amarillo, Texas, Cathy Lewis of San Antonio,

Jo Lynn Bailey of Beaumont, Texas, and Edward Rickard and Maggie

Rickard, both of San Antonio; six great-grandchildren; and seven

great-great grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be made to the local chapter

of the American Cancer Society.

Barry H. Varner

Dec. 5, 1952 – May 25, 2001

LISMORE, La. – Services for Barry H. &uot;Bear&uot; Varner,

48, of Monterey, who died Friday, May 25, 2001, in La Salle Parish,

will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Lismore Baptist Church with

the Revs. Paul Stephens and Tony Ganey officiating.

Burial will be in the Lismore Baptist Church Cemetery under

the direction of Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel.

Visitation is from 5 until 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at

the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday

at the church.

Varner was born Dec. 5, 1952, in Henderson, Ky., the son of

Barrett M. and Audrey M. Varner.

He was a truck driver with Plains Marketing in Vidalia.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister, Bonnie

Beth Varner.

Survivors include his mother; and friend, Derrick Barlow.

Pallbearers will be Sid Goings, Roger Wiley, Pat Tucker, Sonny

Lees, Ray Barlow, Michael Guillot, Jimmy Guillot Jr. and Curtis

Savoy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Guillot, James Enterkin,

Jimmy Goings and Dutch Thornton.

Johnie G. Miller

Feb. 20, 1917 – May 26, 2001

JONESVILLE, La. – Services for Johnie G. Miller, 84, of Jonesville,

who died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m.,

today at Good Road Penecostal Church with the Revs. Mickey Hudnall,

Steve Cleoenger and Bryan Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in the Heard Cemetery in Manifest under the

direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Miller was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Jonesville, the son of Frank

and Julia Miller.

He was a custodian for Jonesville Elementary School, a World

War II veteran as a member of the U.S. Army and a member of the

Good Road Penecostal Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Billy Miller.

Survivors include a wife, Ioma Miller of Jonesville; two daughters,

Renee Butts and Lisa Coleman, both of Jonesville; five sons, David

Miller, Tommy Miller and Ray Mille, all of Jonesville, Johnny

Miller of Vidalia and Terry Miller of Rhinehart; three brothers,

Albert &uot;Bud&uot; Miller and Frank Miller, both of Jonesville,

and Phillip Miller of Oakwoods, Texas; and a sister, Marie Windham

of Jena.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Butts, Kris Coleman, Billy Miller,

Bobby Miller, Brock Miller, Robert Miller, Jeremy Posey and Jerry

Price.

T. Waring Bennett

Services for T. Waring Bennett, 84, of Natchez, who died Sunday,

May 27, 2001, at Natchez Community Hospital, are incomplete at

Laird Funeral Home.
