Mayor, three incumbents reelected in Fayette

FAYETTE – Fayette Mayor Rogers W. King was elected to another term during an election Tuesday in Jefferson County.

King defeated Trent Hudson 459 to 307 in the unofficial count.

Three aldermen, Kenneth E. Coffie, Lizzie Hammett, and Jimmie L. Jackson were also reelected out of a total of 14 candidates running for the five positions.

Two incumbent candidates, Mary D. Hamberlin and Theresa Rankin lost this year to Arnold Earl Clark Jr. and Claudine Starks Middleton.
