Erdis Fleming

Nov. 19, 1929 – Aug. 5, 2001

Services for Erdis Fleming, 71, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Robert Zawaski officiating.

Burial will be in the Flemings Cemetery in Cranfield under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mr. Fleming was born Nov. 19, 1929, the son of Robert Fleming and Blanche Miller Fleming.

Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his mother and father; a sister, Jessie Payne; and one brother, Roscoe C. Fleming.

Survivors include his wife, Estelle Davis Fleming; two sons, Nathaniel Haywood of Marietta, Ga., and Jerome Haywood and his wife, La’Lani, of Kansas City, Mo.; a granddaughter, Sharnay Haywood of Marietta; two grandsons, Christopher and Alexander Haywood of Kansas City; three brothers, Robert Fleming of Detroit, Albert Fleming of San Francisco, and Willie John Fleming of Natchez; and a number of other relatives.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Ruth Flanagan

Feb. 2, 1935 – Aug. 2, 2001

KIRBY – Services for Ruth Flanagan, 66, of Roxie, who died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at the Franklin County Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in the Meadville Cemetery under the direction of Tyler Funeral Home of Brookhaven.

Mrs. Flanagan was born Feb. 2, 1935, the daughter of Willie King and Inez Cameron.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Kirby.

Mrs. Flanagan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Latell Flanagan; and a son, Marcus.

Survivors include five sons, Marvin Flanagan, Paul Flanagan, Ralph Flanagan, Warren Flanagan and Michael Flanagan, all of Chicago; one daughter, Phyllis Flanagan of Hillside, Ill.; 20 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Lee White

Nov. 16, 1947 – Aug. 4, 2001

FERRIDAY, La. – Services for Kenneth Lee White, 53, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Veterans Hospital in Alexandria, will be at 10 a.m. today at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shep Bethley officiating.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mr. White was born Nov. 16, 1947, in Ferriday, the son of Christella White.

He was a truck driver, a Catholic, and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1973.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his God mother.

Survivors include his mother, Christella White Smith of Compton, Calif.; one son, Tyron F. Jones of Ferriday; one aunt, Isabell Davis of Ferriday; one sister, Linda white of Houston; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Annie M. Terrell

Dec. 29, 1914 – Aug. 4, 2001

ROXIE – Services for Annie M. Terrell, 86, of Roxie, who died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Springhill Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Tyler Funeral Home of Brookhaven.

Visitation is from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Terrell was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Franklin County, the daughter of Jessie Richardson and Eveline Turner Richardson.

She was a former seafood factory worker in West Wego, La., and a member of Springhill Baptist Church of Roxie.

Mrs. Terrell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H. Terrell; three brothers, Luther, L.J. and Dudes Richardson; and six sisters, Nancy Carter, Fannie Mae Dunmore, Viola Webster, Lou, Willie Drew and Pinkie Puckett.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
