nets sweep; NHS clubs fall at NPHS

MEADVILLE &045; Cathedral’s boys soccer team improved to 10-1 overall and 5-0 in District 7-1A/2A/3A with an impressive 6-1 win over the Franklin County Bulldogs Tuesday night.
Cathedral got four goals from Palmer Rinehart, a goal and two assists from Nicholas Anderson, two assists from Patrick Biglane on two of Rinehart’s goals, and one goal from Jack Aubic.

MEADVILLE &045; The Lady Green Wave remained alive for a playoff berth with a shutout win over the Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night in district action.
Brittany Laird scored one of Cathedral’s goals as the Lady Green Wave improved to 4-5 overall and 3-2 in district play.
North Pike boys 2,
Natchez High 1
NATCHEZ &045; Curtis Holder’s goal late in the first half looked like it was going to stand until North Pike tied the score at one on a penalty kick with about a minute left in regulation play.
North Pike won the game by outscoring Natchez (2-6), playing its last game of the season, 2-1 in
the shootout. Wesley Davis scored the Bulldogs’ only kick during the shootout.

NATCHEZ &045; The Lady Jaguars pretty much had their way with the Lady Bulldogs (2-6), as No. 32 (no name given) scored two of the team’s three goals.
Natchez High ended its season Tuesday.
