NATCHEZ &045; Services for Annie Beatrice Smith, 62, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Greenville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Samuel Hines officiating.
Burial will be in Skinner Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 18, 1940, in Adams County, the daughter of Roosevelt and Ethel Davis.
Her education includes Alcorn University and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Smith and Margie Moore and her husband, Clem; two sons, the Rev. Carl Smith and his wife, Brenda, and Anthony Smith; five grandchildren, Carlos Smith, Brittany Smith, George D. Smith, Cartrell Smith and Tiffany Smith; one great-granddaughter, Ta’Necia Williams; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rufus Minor, Greg Johnson, Deir Weir, Joseph Minor, Henry Brooks and George Brooks.
Matalane Davis

FRANKLIN COUNTY &045; Services for Matalane Davis, 82, who died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in McComb, will be at 11 a.m. today at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hollis McGehee officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the directions of Hartman Funeral Home of McComb.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Miss Davis was born April 29, 1920, in Franklin County, the daughter of Willie Davis and Agnes McMorris Davis.
She was retired from the medical field, was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women Organization.
Miss Davis was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Mac Davis; two sisters-in-law, Dot Davis and Mary Davis.
Survivors include two brothers, Vernon Davis of McCall Creek and Wesley Davis of Bogue Chitto; one sister, Katie Arnold of McCall Creek; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Arnold, Curtis Spring, Kenny Smith, Wayne Davis, Jack Jordan and Ken Gilbert.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Dean, Jerry Jones, Jay Dyess, Sherrill Smith and Thomas Hancock.
Rosie Lee Lambert Stewart

NATCHEZ &045; Graveside services for Rosie Lee Lambert Stewart, 85, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in Natchez, will be at 3 p.m. today at Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Julius Roberts officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stewart was born April 26, 1917, in Roxie, the daughter of Jessie and Lennie Hall Jackson.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her first husband, L.L. &uot;Son&uot; Lambert; her second husband, Clyde Stewart; two brothers, Jack Jackson and Riley Jackson; two sisters, May Carter and Florence Halford; one son, John Wesley Lambert.
Survivors include four sons, Luther Lambert Jr. of Henryetta, Okla., Bobby Lambert, Jessie Lambert and James Lambert, all of Natchez; two daughters, Shirley Searcy of Poplarville and Lennie Pullen of Brookhaven; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Tatum of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Gene Tatum, John McHand, David Squyers, Rod Powell, Richard Powell and Bobby Priest.
Ansie Jo Peter

Ansie Jo Peter, 66, of Woodville, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Natchez Community Hospital
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Peter was born Nov. 29, 1936, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Anslem Joseph and Helen Shelton Coon Clark.
Survivors include one son, Philip Michael Porter of Leesburg, Va.; two daughters, Lizbeth Peter of Hawaii and Karen Jo Andersdon Leake of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Lee Clark of Woodville.
Esther H. Standrod

NATCHEZ &045; Services for Esther H. Standrod of Birmingham, Ala., formerly of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, in Birmingham, will be at 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Bart Walker officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Standrod was born Nov. 2, 1908, in Hamburg, Ark., the daughter of Daniel Francis and Johnny Guice Henry.
She was a longtime member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Sam Standrod and his wife, Margaret, both of Birmingham; one granddaughter, Ann Standrod of Washington, D.C.; one grandson, Sam Standrod III of Suwanee, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Jeremy Standrod, Drew Standrod, Ryan Trainor and Ashley Trainor, all of Atlanta; nephew, Gene Farmer of Florida; grandniece, Audrey Lynn Ryan of Florida; one brother, John F. Henry and his wife, Cynthia, both of North Charleston, S.C.
Pallbearers will be Carol Pearson, Henry Bullock, Robert Marler, Jack Lazarus, Herman Merritt and Billy Murray.
Joseph Miles Sprague

DALLAS &045; Graveside services for Joseph Miles Sprague who died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, in Irving, Texas, will be at 3 p.m. today at Restland Memorial Park.
Burial will follow under the direction of Eastgate Funeral Home of Garland, Texas.
Mr. Sprague was born March 6, 1920, in Birmingham, Ala.
He graduated from Auburn University in 1941, and was a retired LTC, USAF Reserve, World War II veteran. He was a longtime resident of Natchez, was a retired factory manager of Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. and Sprague-Gousset Field in Duncan Park was named in his honor.
Survivors include one brother, Edmond Sprague of Birmingham, Ala.; one sister, Martha Ann Best of Birmingham; one son, Joseph G. Sprague and his wife, Bridget, both of Irving, Texas; four grandsons, Joseph H. Sprague, James G. Sprague, Casey A. Sprague and F.H. Sprague.
