AMITE, La. &045; The WCCA Lady Rams got a huge 3-pointer from Virginia Lewis with about 20 seconds left to lift them to a 33-30 win over Oak Forest Monday night.

Lewis drained a triple from the top of the key to break the 30-30 tie, and the Lady Rams (4-7) held tight defensively on OFA’s ensuing possession to get a steal and run out the clock.

&uot;It was nip and tuck the whole way,&uot; said WCCA head coach Sam Byrd, who used the win to help celebrate a birthday. &uot;They were playing tremendous defense, and we were, too. Nobody could score. Everybody was in each other’s faces. It was real close.&uot;
