VIDALIA, La. &045; It took a while for Class 2A’s No. 1 team to find itself, but once the McCall Lady Dragons did, they lived up to the hype.

Bettina Fountain scored just two points in the first half before finishing with a game-high 23 in leading undefeated McCall (27-0, 6-0) to a 75-27 defeat of Vidalia (0-12, 0-5) on Tuesday.

&uot;We started out playing real sluggish. I don’t know if the reason was warm-ups or getting here late, but nobody played well in that first half,&uot; Lady Dragons head coach John Holmes said. &uot;We had a good talk at halftime and they finally got into a groove.&uot;
