FERRIDAY &045;&045; Liang Fung Foo, victim of the Nov. 22 China Wok shooting, is still recovering in Alexandria’s St. Frances Christus Cabrini Hospital.

Fung, 37, was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery five weeks ago. Ferriday police described the shooter as a black male of medium build, approximately six feet tall and weighing 180 pounds.

Co-worker Qin Lin said Thursday Fung is fully capable of communicating and eating but doctors are still waiting to see if his mobility has been permanently affected.

&uot;He is doing fine, but it will be a couple of weeks until he gets home,&uot; Lin said.

FPD Chief Robert Davis said his department does have leads and said he feels confident that the assailant will be caught.

&uot;It’s an ongoing investigation, and it takes time,&uot; Davis said.

&uot;I won’t quit until this is solved.&uot;
