VIDALIA, La. &045; A Vidalia woman has joined her company in working to feed the victims of the earthquake and tsunamis in southern Asia.

Brenda Eicemann, who works with Nuskin Enterprises, is accepting donations for Nourish the Children, one of Nuskin’s divisions.

The donations will be used to pay for Vitameal, a specially designed food that needs only water for preparation. Each bag of Vitameal will supply the nutritional needs of a child for 30 days, or an adult for 15 days.

&uot;Our goal is to be a force of good in the world,&uot; Eicemann said. &uot;That’s where we give back and help feed starving children.&uot;

Partnering with Feed the Children, Nuskin and Nourish the Children have seven 747s waiting to be filled with food and flown to Asia.

Eicemann is accepting local donations. Checks can be sent to her at 108 Jackson Court, Vidalia, LA 71373.

Eicemann stressed that 100 percent of the donations go to pay for food &045; Nuskin absorbs the cost of shipping and administration.

Nuskin is hoping to raise money to pay for 125,000 meals in 36 hours.

Eicemann said she joined Nuskin when she was considering retirement and looking at other options for work. The Nourish the Children division is one of the reasons she enjoys working with the company.
