&uot;All things considered, for my first time, it’s pretty good,&uot; she said.

In Vidalia District 1, incumbent Carter Warner will face Tron McCoy in the upcoming runoff. McCoy received 141 votes to Warner’s 99. Audrey Gray received 50 votes, or 17.2 percent.
McCoy said he was a little relieved Saturday night, but would spend the coming days regrouping and beginning the campaign process again.
&uot;I’m four votes from beating the incumbent. It’s fourth and inches, fourth and goal.&uot;
McCoy said so far in his campaign he has spent time knocking on doors and stating his position.
&uot;I stayed really positive,&uot; McCoy said. &uot;I’ve focused on youth, jobs and the elderly.
&uot;The Vidalia slogan is ‘A city on the move,’ District 1 needs to be on the move just like 2 and 3.&uot;
In District 2, incumbent Vernon Stevens Jr. beat Jerry Foster 128 votes to 56.
In District 3, all three incumbents were reelected, Jon Betts, Ricky Knapp and Maureen &uot;Mo&uot; Saunders.
&uot;I’m glad it’s over,&uot; Knapp said. &uot;I appreciate the confidence they’ve put in me. People know my record in the past, and I’m not going to change it now.&uot;
Betts received the highest vote total, 427, while Knapp received 405 votes and Saunders, 320.
&uot;Public confidence and public trust is very important to me,&uot; Betts said. &uot;And it’s evident by the vote that I have the confidence of the people.&uot;
Paige Ozburn and Bill Staggs were defeated in the District 3 race. Ozburn received 225 votes and Staggs received 283.
Overall turnout was low, Clerk of Courts Clyde Ray Webber said, but races without a mayoral election tend to have small turnouts.
