NATCHEZ &045; Natchez police are investigating two related sets of shots fired early Thursday morning.
Police received a call around 3:30 a.m. that three shots had been fired on East Oak Street, Police Chief Mike Mullins said.
&uot;We have information from someone at the scene that there was a drug transaction at a house on East Oak,&uot; Mullins said.
When two people left the scene, one of the individuals involved in the drug deal fired at the vehicle as it was pulling away, the victim told police.
Police found a dent on the driver’s side door where the bullet could have hit, Mullins said. There were no bullet holes.
The vehicle then traveled to North Union Street near Woodlawn Avenue, where the passengers reported that someone fired two to three shots at them again.
None of the shots struck the vehicle and no one was injured.
Mullins said investigators have identified a suspect.
