Anyone needing information about anything pertaining to relief efforts in Concordia Parish can call the command center at 318-336-8166, -8167, 8168 and -8169.

Thursday afternoon the building hosted a meeting of about 30 officials from the Red Cross, local government and businesses to help organize relief efforts. The group will be meeting daily at the center to share information an coordinate efforts across the parish.

&uot;This is so we can meet and talk about what we know,&uot; said Dennis, who ran the meeting. &uot;We can also share what is working and what isn’t so we can work more effectively through this.&uot;

The Town of Vidalia has agreed to provide four office workers to man the phones during business hours in the command center.
