Vikings fall in unexpected home game

VIDALIA, La. &045; Vidalia fell 37-26 Friday night the Unviversity High Cubs in a game moved from Baton Rouge because of Hurricane Katrina.
In the first quarter, with 8:57 left, University quarterback Michael Evans throw an 18-yard pass in the first quarter.
On the following kick off Brandon Harris recovered a fumble and ran it back for a 23-yard touchdown.
The Cubs were not done yet, Micheal Evans throw a 34-yard pass to Brandon Harris to give University a 21-0 edge to end the first quarter.
It didn’t get any better for the Vikings in the second quarter. With 7:05 left to go in the second
quarter Brandon Harris got a 5 yard run and went in for the touchdown.
Giving the Vikings a 28-0 lead. With
58:8 seconds left in the half kicker Michael Evans made a 34-yard field goal attempt to give the Cubs a 31-0 lead over the Vikings in the first half.
In the third quarter, Vidalia’s Jordan Brewer connected with Micah Collard on a 22-yard touchdown to try to give the Vikings a little bit of life.
The Vikings missed the 2-point conversion, leaving themdown 31-6.
University wasn’t finished scoring yet. With 3:05 left, Michael Evans made a 32-yard field goal to give the Cubs and 34-6 lead. The Vikings retaliated with Jordan Brewer throwing yet another touchdown pass to Micah Collard.
This time Vidalia made the 2-point conversion.
In the fourth quarter Michael Evans kicked yet another field goal to give the Cubs a 37-point lead over the Vikings.
Even though the Vikings scored two more times in the game it still wasn’t enough to give Vidalia the lead.
