NATCHEZ &8212; The seven boys in the Trinity Episcopal graduating class are bound to be strong. After all, they&8217;ve spent much of their high school lives outnumbered by 19 girl classmates, salutatorian Jessica Marchbanks pointed out at Sunday&8217;s graduation. But now they are free. &8220;We&8217;ve stumbled on a sudden new found freedom,&8221; Marchbanks said. &8220;Every person in this class has a different attribute. There&8217;s a whole world out there waiting for you.&8221; The class has been through a lot, valedictorian Laura Jo Hurt said, including hurricanes Katrina and Rita and their aftermath. &8220;God will always provide,&8221; she said. &8220;Life is short, and it should not be taken for granted.&8221; Hurt reminded her classmates they will always be influenced by others and sometimes they&8217;ll be the ones influencing. &8220;We all were designed with a unique purpose in mind,&8221; she said. &8220;We need to seize the power of every moment. There is a life that awaits you. &8220;If the future terrifies you, then just take it one moment at a time.&8221; School Chaplain Brandt Dick told the seniors there will be great moments and miserable days in their future. &8220;The world is pretty much indifferent to your existence,&8221; he said. &8220;You are not the center of the universe. You are a part of God&8217;s loving creation because of what God does and who God is.&8221; And they have a right to be respected and to give respect, Dick said. They have responsibilities to carry out in the world. &8220;Now the time has come for you to take those first steps into the world,&8221; he said.
