We knew Natchez was state&8217;s best

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Natchez has made &8220;the list&8221; &8212; more than a dozen times. &8220;The list&8221; is Mississippi Magazine&8217;s latest edition featuring the &8220;Best&8221; of Mississippi. Natchez didn&8217;t just make the list for a thing or two; it smoked the competition. Think Hattiesburg is the greatest? Nah. Believe Jackson is where it&8217;s all at? Hardly. Feel like Pelahatchie is the center of all things holy? Not even close. Oxford? Sorry Ole Miss fans. Natchez has you beat. The city was honored for a myriad of top things. From the best fried chicken to the best place to buy shoes, Natchez was tops. Of course, we&8217;ve always known how special Natchez is. If we didn&8217;t, why would we live here? The magazine&8217;s readers suggested the winners of the survey. And, although we do not know all the readers, we can tell you they are darned smart folks. Hopefully, as word of the city&8217;s latest acclaim reaches the good folks in Carthage and beyond, visitors from all over will come and see for themselves just how smart those judges were.
