NATCHEZ &8212; A year and a half after Marshall &8220;Mark&8221; Brown was found murdered, three people have been charged.
Mark Brown&8217;s stepmother Catherine Hibbs of Vidalia said she has been waiting for this day and is proud of Sheriff Ronny Brown and the work of the Adams County Sheriff&8217;s Office.
&8220;Finally, there is some relief and justice for Mark,&8221; Hibbs said. &8220;They (ASCO) have been very good to me about staying in touch with me the whole time. I never lost faith that they would not continue the case.&8221;
Brown, 46, was found dead March 21, 2005, in his RV parked in front of Wayne&8217;s Auto on U.S. 61 North in Adams County.
Adams County Sheriff Ronny Brown said Brown&8217;s employer found Brown dead in his camper when he came into work that day.
Ronny Brown said the suspects knew Mark Brown and the case looked to be a robbery gone bad.
Brown lived in the RV parked at the business where he worked.
Ronny Brown said the murder was one of the most gruesome he had ever seen but would not comment on the details.
ACSO deputies arrested Bobby Earnest Beard, 27, 16 Fife St., Larry F. Jackson Jr., 34, 101-A Rushing St. and Patsy Ruth Jackson, 52, 101-A Rushing St.
Beard and Larry Jackson Jr. were charged with the murder of Brown, while Patsy Jackson was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.
No bond will be set for Beard or Larry Jackson Jr. until arraignment on Friday.
Patsy Jackson has a $100,000 bond.
Ronny Brown said the arrests in the investigation were the result of cooperation between ACSO, The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, the District Attorney&8217;s Office and the Attorney General&8217;s Office.
