The three awards were Power of Hope award, which is a national award, Heart of Relay, which is a Mid-South division award, and the Per Capita Award, which is a state award.

The Heart of Relay award is designed to recognize successful practices and innovations supporting both the mission of the American Cancer Society and reaching our 2015 goals. The Per Capita Award is a state award which is presented to the top 5 per capita Relay of life communities in each state.
Miss-Lou Relay for Life, American Cancer Society Rely For Life volunteers from the Miss-Lou area, attended Relay Reunion in Philadelphia, on Nov. 10-11.
Relay Reunion is an annual fall retreat for Relay For Life committee members and leadership in Mississippi. The retreat provides a two-day forum with breakout sessions on topics ranging from team recruitment to income development. Also at Relay Reunion, volunteers, organizations, media outlets and businesses are awarded local, state, division, and national Relay For Life awards for their leadership as distinguished American Cancer Society partners who support the mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem.
Relay For Life is an overnight fundraising event filled with activities, fun and community spirit. All funds raised at Relay For Life support American Cancer Society programs designed to reduce cancer incidence and mortality through research, education, advocacy, and patient services.
