VIDALIA — Services for Henry L. Fitt, 72, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home, Vidalia.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Vidalia.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Fitt was born Oct. 15, 1934, in Natchez, the son of William Joseph Fitt and Gertrude Smith Fitt. He was a resident of Vidalia, a commercial fisherman and an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Elmer Fitt and Frank Fitt.

Survivors include his wife, Elna Caston Fitt of Vidalia; daughter, Elizabeth Knapper and husband, Joe, of Pasadena, Texas; sons, Henry O. Fitt of Vidalia and Ripp Fitt and wife, Tina, of Natchez; brother, George Fitt of Ferriday; granddaughters, Tabitha Tipton Garza, Laci Fitt and Hannah Fitt; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Garza, Joey Garza and Tyler Garza.

Pallbearers will be Lee Staggs, Billy Staggs, Joe Knapper, Darrell Roberts, Ronnie Fuller and Billy Cummins.
