Its time to fix the cable problem

Technology is amazing. Walk the streets of the Miss-Lou and you&8217;re almost certain to brush shoulders with someone who lives today thanks to the efforts of modern medical technology.
But for all of the wonderful things technology does to make our lives operate more efficiently and more smoothly, when technology malfunctions it can be among the most infuriating of human experiences.
How many of us go home to houses with clocks and other devices blinking &8220;12:00 A.M.&8221; because we simply don&8217;t know how to properly reprogram the blasted thing?
Sure, we laugh at such mini nuisances, but for some folks the little things can ruin their lives.
Take for example the years and years of complaining that local residents have done about the quality of some TV channels on the local cable TV provider, CableONE.
When you&8217;re watching your favorite soap opera and you cannot discern which evil stepsister is stabbing the other in the back, it can be frustrating. Or perhaps it&8217;s a football score that is just lost in a sea of white, fuzzy &8220;snow.&8221;
Regardless, it&8217;s time the problem be fixed once and for all.
Residents have taken their complaints to the Natchez Board of Alderman in the past and more recently to the Adams County Board of Supervisors. Yet the problem still remains.
The problem boils down to money and until enough people cause a fuss to make someone take notice, it&8217;ll remain a problem that gets lip service and not real action.
