Services for Sara Green Adams, 80, of Gloster, who died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at her residence, will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Galilee Baptist Church with the Revs. Odus Jackson and Sammy Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Adams was born July 5, 1926, in Mississippi, the daughter of Seward Green and Damie Lightsey.
She was a longtime member of Galilee Baptist Church. She was an office secretary and a homemaker.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.L. Adams Jr.

Survivors include two sons, J.L. “Randy” Adams III and his wife, Lori and Marshall Cole Adams, all of Gloster; two granddaughters, Casey Adams McCarty and her husband, Patrick of Birmingham, Ala. and Tara Butler Adams of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Winford L. Green of Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Foster, Frank “Bubba” Foster, Harold “Buster” Smith, C.H. “Buddy” Lewis III, Greg Randall and mark Snowden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Galilee Baptist Church, P.O. Box 118, Gloster, Ms. 39638.
