Services for Henry Starnes Cooper, 71, of Laurel, who died Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be 1 p.m. Monday at First United Pentecostal Church of Natchez wtih Bro. James Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mr. Copper was born March 31, 1935, in Natchez, the son of Charles and Eugene and Ruth Starnes Cooper Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ruth Cooper Head.

Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Cooper of Laurel; two daughters, Elizabeth Cooper White of Columbus, Ohio and Ruth Cooper Abadie of Marrero, La.; three sons, Henry Cooper Jr. of Natchez, James Cooper of Collins and Russell Cooper of Laurel; extended family, Heather Pierce of Marrero, La. and Terry Cheramie of Mandeville, La.; 12 grandchidren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles Eugene Cooper Jr. of Tulsa and James Asa Cooper of Muskogee, Okla.

Pallbearers will be Joshua White, Henry Cooper III, Charles Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Derek Abadie and Ryan Abadie.
