Al Cross

Services for William “Al” Cross, 43, team lead for McKesson Pharmaceuticals, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at The Med in Memphis, Tenn., were held Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven.

Graveside services were held at Byhalia Cemetery.

Mr. Cross was born Nov. 8, 1963, in Natchez, the son of Johnny Cross and Margaret C. Whitehead.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret C. Whitehead; stepfather, Guy Whitehead; sister, Michele Whitehead; and uncle, John David Cummings.

Survivors include his wife of four and one half years, Linda G. Cross of Byhalia; brother, John Michael Cross of Byhalia; niece, Jordan Edwards and her father, Tony Edwards of Jonesville; great uncle, Lamar Federick of San Antonio, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, J.W. and Mary F. Whittington of Byhalia; father, Johnny Cross of Vidalia; and many loving relatives and friends who will miss him forever.

The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Med Trauma Center.

A memorial service will be held in Vidalia at a later date to be announced.
