Services for Freddie Leake, 68, of Vicksburg, who died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at River Region Medical Center, in Vicksburg, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Home Chapel, Woodville, with the Rev. Tom Sexton officiating.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Woodville, under the direction of Newman Funeral Home, Woodville.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Leake was born May 15, 1938, the son of Frederick Paddock and Mary Boatner Leake. He was an experimental waterways engineer for 38 years. He was a member of the Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of Woodville Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his stepmother, Julia Leake Wells of Woodville; numerous cousins; and personal friend, James Brogan.
