Services for Johnny Earl Jones, 48, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, will be 1 p.m. today at St. Matthew Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Jenkins Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Kettley Family Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Jones was born Oct. 26, 1958, in Franklin County, the son of Arthur and Lugene Jones. He was employed as a truck driver. He was baptized at an early age and was a member of the St. Matthew Baptist Church in Garden City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis Havard and James Earl Havard; and sister, Estelle Jones.

Survivors include brothers, Jake Jones and wife, Gloria, and Thomas A. Jones and Bernadine “Pat”, all of Natchez; sister, Juanita Jones of Crosby; sons, Towaski Dramico Jones, LaPatrick D’Earl Jones, both of Centreville, Shevis Sheon Collins and wife, Denisa, of Liberty and Victor Carey Collins of Gloster, mother, Alice Ellison and grandchildren, Anekia Robinson, Denet Collins, Damarvin Rodgers, and Shaila Collins; children, Tamatha Green, Marion Moore and wife, Kamesha, Troy Moore and wife, Ursula, Tameka Moore and his grandchildren, Breanna Moore, Breabhanae Moore and Mesha Moore, all of Natchez; fianceé, Arnita Knight and her son, Marquis Javon Knight and his wife, Noelle, of Jackson; nephews, Tryone Jones of Natchez, Tommy Lee Jones and Perry Jones, both of McComb, Joseph Lee Jones and Walter Lee Jones, both of Crosby, and Alvin Havard and wife, Adrieanne, of Monroe, N.C.; nieces, Erica Bowman of Natchez, Surbrenda Havard of Memphis, Tenn., Stephanie White of Crosby, and Gladys Jones of Centreville; his loving aunt, Corine Alexander of Garden City; special friends, Roosevelt Turner and George “Peter Rabbit” Davis; and a number of other special great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
