James Edward Larry

NATCHEZ &8212; Services for James Edward Larry, 63, of Natchez, who died Dec. 20, 2006, in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Word of Faith Christian Center with Bishop Robert L. Cade officiating.
Burial will follow at La Grange Baptist Church under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Mr. Larry was born April 28, 1943, in Shreveport, La. He was Minister of the Gospel since 1982 and founder of Mission for Millions.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father and one nephew.
Survivors include two daughters, Malasha Baldwin and Tema Larry; three brothers Arthur Larry, Dale Larry and Samuel Larry; two sisters Della Jones and Erma Demmer; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

FERRIDAY &045; Services for Robert Stanton &8220;Bob&8221; Rife Jr., 86, of Ferriday, who died Dec. 21, 2006 at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sevier Methodist Church, Ferriday, with the Rev. Jerry Means and the Rev. Ray Owens Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Rife was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Glen Allen, the son of Robert S. Rife Sr. and Maggie Hicks Rife.
Mr. Rife had been a resident of Ferriday for 53 years. He was a farmer and a member of Sevier Memorial United Methodist Church in Ferriday where he served on the official board for many years. Mr. Rife was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston where he played football from 1940 to 1943. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in the battle of Iwo Jima. He was a member of the Concordia Parish Hospital Board, Concordia Parish Farm Bureau Board of Directors, a member of the Louisiana Cotton Producers and a member of the Cattleman Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Evelyn O. Rife, and two brothers, Edwin Lee Rife and James M. Rife.
Survivors include two sons, Robert S. Rife III and his wife, Peggy, of Abeline, Texas, and John O. Rife of Ferriday; daughter Anna Rife of Ferriday; two grandchildren, Jason Rife and his wife Erin of Durham, N.C., and Adam Rife of Midland, Texas; nieces, Ann Caston of Lake Charles, La., and Genie Rife Parker of Baton Rouge; nephews Charles Caston of Pineville, La., and Lee Rife Jr. of Ferriday.
Pall bearers will be Lee Rife, David Caston, Rick Osburne, Andy Anders, Randy Miller, Buddy Tanner, Richard Netterville and Tru Goldman.
