Services for L. Conway Aubic Jr., 65, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father George Pookkattu officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Aubic was born Nov. 1, 1941, in Natchez, the son of L. Conway Aubic Sr. and Noreen Burns Aubic.

He was a 1959 graduate of Cathedral School and earned a degree in business administration from Louisiana State University in 1963. He served in the MS National Guard for six years. He was employed locally for many years in the banking business. He spent a brief time in the insurance field as well as most recently the tourism industry in the Miss-Lou area.

He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, serving as Past Grand Knight and Past Faithful Navigator. He was a member of the American Legion Post 04, the Audubon Society, the LSU Alumni Association and Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Mr. Aubic was an avid supporter of all Cathedral School and LSU athletic events.

Survivors include a number of aunts, uncles and cousins of the Aubic, Garrity and Burns Families.

Pallbearers will be Jack Aubic V, Joe Garrity, Byron Garrity, Peter Burns Jr., Andy Burns, Patrick Vogt Jr., Pat Burns Jr. and Tim Burns.
Honorary pallbearers will be George C. Murray, Tommy O’Beirne, George Souderes, Prentiss Graves, Ferdie Passbach and Robert Martello.

Memorials may be made to Cathedral School Development Fund, LSU Alumni Association or Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
